Why mazes are good for children

I’ve created these pages with mazes because they provide benefits to children.

First, they require hand – eye coordination. Children must follow a path and stay within the lines.

The following of the path also helps children work on fine motor skills.

Mazes are also a good problem solving opportunity for children. When completed, they will help build a sense of confidence and accomplishment.

While children look at mazes as play, they are providing many benefits to the children completing them!

These Alphabet Mazes

These worksheets are an engaging way for children to work on their ABCs. I’ve added to the maze outline on each page.

At the bottom of each page children will find three pictures to color. Each word starts with the letter on the page. The exception is the letter z which only has two pictures.

The pages are adorned with decorations for children to color. These will again provide fine motor practice.
