Unsure of what ending digraphs are? Start here! (If you already know, skip to the end for your free download.)
If you do not know, ending digraph words start with two letters that make a new sound. The words in these pages end with ch, sh, th, dge, ck, tch or ng. Yes, some of the words actually end in trigraphs instead of digraphs. These are groups of three letters that make one new sound.
You will find a total of 7 different pages, each is provided in 2 formats.
Each page has a digraph listed in the middle. Around the edges you will find pictures.
The first set has just the pictures. The second set includes the words next to the pictures.
To complete the pages, students will color the pictures that begin with the given consonant digraph.
They will then write three words ending with the consonant digraph at the bottom.
If you are looking to extend these pages, you might ask your children to circle the digraph in each word. For example, on the ch page, students will circle ch in the word cheese.
