About these lists

These lists were created to be a tool in your science classroom. They can be used as a reference for your students.

Students might use these when writing about science or during discussions.

As you are looking to build the vocabulary of your scientists, encourage your students to learn and explore new words from the list.

You will find three different lists. List 1 was designed for primary classrooms, list 2 for intermediate and junior high classrooms, and list 3 for high school.

In addition to the lists, I have created a poster that can be used to display in your room. In my own classroom, I am going to print about ten of these on card stock. I will then laminate them and place them at tables as a reference.
