This homographs list download will provide your students with a resource when working to understand homographs.
This is another free resource for teachers and homeschool families from www.freewordwork.com.
Homographs are words that have the same spelling
Sometimes, they are pronounced the same. Sometimes, the pronunciation is different.
The words have different meanings.
Homographs and homophones are types of homonyms.
(Homophones have a different spelling, sound the same, and have different meanings.)
You will find a set of 6 free pages to download.
The first two pages list examples of homographs along with pictures.
The next three pages have a chart with homographs listed. Students will add words and pictures to the grid to help them remember the meanings.
Finally, there is a blank page with the chart so you or students can add their own words.
In my classroom, I will be using the pages with the grids. I plan on copying them to fit in my students’ word work notebooks. They can then glue them in and add the meanings to the chart. They will be a good resource for students to go back to.
As always, this is intended to be a free resource for teachers and homeschool families. You may copy and use in the classroom or at home. You may not sell or modify and sell these resources in any way.
