Instead, these are words that naturally have double consonants.
You will find words with the letters bb, cc, dd, ff, gg, ll, mm, pp, rr, ss, tt and zz.
Examples of these words are bubble, carrot, puddle, call and mitten.
Looking for a way to practice these words before using paper and pencil worksheets?
Write out a word containing a double consonant. Have your child read the spelling aloud. When they say the double consonants, have them jump.
The movement will help them remember the doubles.
This set contains 22 printable pages where students will work with words containing the letters bb, cc, dd, ff, gg, ll, mm, pp, rr, ss, tt and zz. Students will complete words and color pictures while identifying the missing letters.
These pages might fit into your first, second or third grade word work practice.
The pages you will find here are not begin phonics practice pages. There are many multi syllable words.
