Time for coloring in the classroom?

It is hard to find time to allow your busy schedule to slow down and allow children time to color. There are countless standards to be addressed each day. You might not be able to squeeze in any time to color. If you are able to, there might be some benefits for your students.

Coloring can be a relaxing activity. It can also allow an opportunity for students to chat and get to know each other a little bit better.

Due to electronics of all sorts, many students do not receive enough practice with find motor skills. Giving children time to color, can help change this.

To vary the activity a little, provide students with different coloring tools. Colored pencils, markers, and crayons all require a slightly different grip. Encouraging students to use a different coloring tool can help students work differenbt muscles in their hands.

If you are planning on printing this as a book instead of individual pages, you might choose to print front to back in order to save paper.

Next, staple on the left to create a booklet.

If you can only squeeze in time for one page, you might print a few of each style so students can choose the page they would like best.
